Somebody’s Got To Say It (1): Perpetual War Is Expensive!

“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”  – Sun Tzu

So it’s been six years since Saddam Hussein’s execution and nine years since the ousting of the Taliban from power in Afghanistan.  I do not, for one moment, believe that the world is now a safer place.  As for the war on terror, it is beginning to look like one expensive farce.

Does anyone really care about the Iraqi and Afghan communities utterly destroyed by the US-led coalition forces ?  Aside from those bereaved by these unjust combat missions, who else really cares about the steadily rising body bag count?  So when will common sense finally prevail?

US Congressman, Ron Paul, denounces the war in the video below. According to him, the world now sees the US  “not as peacemaker, but rather, as troublemaker and aggressor……..”  Well said Ron.

  1. For the first time someone that is not twisting history. At the age of political correctness Ron Paul should be commended for standing alone for truth…a true presidential candidate if U.S. seriously wants to be the world police and santa claus as she had always desired.

    • Hi Tai, like you, I commend Congressman Ron Paul for being vocal about America’s disgraceful role regarding the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The sooner this senseless war ends the better.

  2. I can’t believe that someone actually made those statements in the US Congress. Yet, were his colleagues listening? Deaf, dumb and blind, they will not assimilate the reality. Indeed, Congressman Ron Paul should be commended for such bold statement! I wish many more can be that bold to save the US world status from its imminent decline.
